From golfing at the local club to opening his first ever indoor golf entertainment venue, a 45-year-old Port Macquarie man is sharing his passion for the sport with the Mid North Coast, launching the only venue of its kind in the region.
A long-term member of the local golf club, Peter Cristoforo fuses his passion for the sport with a commitment to shake up Port’s social scene.
Alongside his family, wife Christie and daughters Vivien and Ella, Peter’s idea to open an X-Golf came about when he was building the family home…
“I was looking for a way to make golf more accessible with round-the-clock personal play to reduce long days on the green so I could spend more time with my family,” Mr Cristoforo said.
“Instead of installing a simulator at home, I suggested taking a leap and opening an X-Golf to my wife who, as a social golfer herself, saw potential in the idea for the greater community.”

A self-proclaimed ‘rubbish golfer’, Christie Cristoforo said that X-Golf removes the barriers to entry for everyone keen on a hit, regardless of age or ability.
“While nothing compares to the experience of playing a traditional game of golf outdoors, we’re absolutely thrilled to be smashing the possibility of play wide open for everyone in Port Macquarie,” Mrs Cristoforo said.

Located at 58 Uralla Road, the new social hotspot features six indoor simulators equipped with the world’s most advanced technology, renowned for its realistic play with high-tech sensors, cameras and software that simulates the game on your choice of over 50 global courses.

A vibrant bar will be at the heart of the space serving up cold beer on tap, cocktails, coffee and more, with comfortable nooks to enjoy the latest sporting action on the big screens. You can even have a go at the darts lanes.
“It’s a real game-changer,” Christie said.
“X-golf is a very casual environment where we don’t take ourselves too seriously. It’s a fantastic new outlet for social connection with a hospitality element as well,” she said.
“Plus, the beauty of X-Golf is that even if you aren’t any good at the game, no one knows!”
